Governance Ratings
Third Party Rating Agencies
There are a number of companies which are now publishing corporate governance rating scores. These ratings companies each use their own proprietary ratings criteria which differ between each other as to items to be scored and scores being given for each item. Rating companies also vary in the extent to which they publish their scoring systems for review by companies or the general public; in some cases the scoring methodology is only made available to paid subscribers. Citrix may respond to requests for information from ratings companies, but in some cases the ratings company prepares its analysis and score without seeking or accepting input from Citrix.
Citrix neither recommends the use of these ratings scores to its investors, nor seeks to dissuade its investors from taking the scores into account.
In 2009, Citrix received a 99.1% governance rating from Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). This means that, according to RiskMetrics, Citrix outperformed 99.1% of its peers in the software and services industry group for corporate governance compliance.
